The white colour helps to reflect the hot sun in extreme hot days. Works together with the lid holding it in the right position. It also gives space for the top ventilation hole in the lid.

Made in 3 segments: the bottom, the upper hive and the super.  Inside, the hive has 2 sheets of high quality acrylic and 3 of stailess steel that helps the bees and the work of the beekeepers.

The NATIVO hive box provides the colony heart with a strong  protected environment, suitable from extreme weather conditions and natural enemies.

Double separators with a gap in the middle helps the division of the colony, reducing damage to honey pots and bee squashing.

NATIVO name is used in our brand to remind the long tradition of Brazilians dealing with native stingless bees. NATIVO is in Portuguese, Italian and Spanish a stong word to express local, from the land, indigenous.

The bottom of the hive could be used with the lid only to create a more appropriate space for small colonies, ideal configuration for eduction (budding).
